WEEK 52 (2025) – We Wish You All a Healthy And Happy New Year

As one year draws to a close and we enter the new year, it’s often a time that people think about ‘new year’s resolutions’, and these usually involve something to do with our health. Bear with me, I know it’s a bit of a cliché.

There are always lots of things we’ve all been meaning to start doing, but life just gets in the way, or we’ll start it next month, whatever the excuse or reason our brains come up with.

One of mine for 2026 is to subscribe to a local vegetable box delivery, something I’ve been meaning to do for absolutely ages. No reason why I’ve not done it, other than I’ve just not got around to doing it.

So whilst sat here writing this email, I have just done it, I’ve subscribed!

This should not only encourage me to eat more vegetables, but also to get more creative and varied with my meals, one of my health goals. Also, the scheme that I’ve chosen is local to me and doesn’t use any pesticides, you can find them at groobox.co.uk. But there are more and more of these veggie/meat/cheese/bread box schemes or co-operatives/markets springing up all around the country, so just get searching if you haven’t already done so.

Food quality all around the world is under threat, and I just don’t trust the big supermarkets anymore. I really can’t decide what the agenda is amongst the world governments to allow this to happen to our food chain. However, whilst we still have a choice, as that seems to be what they are trying to take away from us, please do support your farmers, local bakers, butchers, independent health food shops, independent online brands, etc.

Try to buy direct from the growers, and look for independent companies whilst we still all exist.

Even more so we now need to look for like minded communities and all share advice, ideas and research.

Through Naturally Healthy News we will continue to try to spread that news as much as we can, and I’m proud to say that Spring 2026 will see the 50th issue of the magazine that Dad (Robert Redfern) brought to life to help inform everyone about a holistic approach to every aspect of health. Keep an eye out for how to request your free copy in March/April!
