Health News (Week 45 – 2019)
By Robert Redfern

It seems like every week new studies show that less sitting, walking or running to any degree is good for our health. These studies also show anti-ageing benefits leading to a healthier old age.

I am in complete agreement with them, but they are not new. These benefits have been well known about for thousands of years.

As well as better circulation, there are many benefits both mentally and physically for moving as much as possible. The long-time readers will know I have been standing working at my computer for at least 8 hours per day for nearly 20 years (or walking the dog). There is another significant health benefit not generally mentioned in studies, and it is more oxygen. It always amazes me since oxygen is the most significant source of our health.

It’s Oxygen

Oxygen is critical for our health. We cannot live more than a few minutes without the oxygen we get from breathing. Usually, we always get better breathing when we are standing or moving. We can also get oxygen from drinking pure water, but this does not replace better breathing.

Oxygen is a critical part of our immune function and is converted to Hydrogen Peroxide to clear cancer cells, toxins and infections.

Oxygen is absorbed in our healthy lungs from the air we breathe and is then taken to every cell in the body via red blood cells. This oxygen is used as the primary fuel by the energy generator within most cells. Mitochondria is the name of the energy generator in our cells, and it is this we need to keep healthy. The energy the Mitochondria produces is called ATP and is responsible for the life and death of most cells. Therefore, the health of your body is directly related to the health of your Mitochondria.

Taking care of the Mitochondria

In 1932 Otto Warburg was awarded the Noble prize for showing that only cells low in oxygen and high in glucose became cancer cells. Lower your intake of glucose (carbs and sugars), breathe correctly and move as much as possible as shown in the studies to maintain levels of oxygen.

Mitochondria needs CoQ10/Ubiquinol to both produce energy (ATP) and to help keep itself healthy, especially as we get older. Oral high-dose CoQ10 is shown in studies to be effective in maintaining healthy Mitochondria.

Healthy Lungs is the essential requirement to take in oxygen and to clear waste carbon dioxide (CO2) from our body. Weak breathing from the chest instead of from the diaphragm (tummy) will not effectively remove the CO2. An excess of the CO2 in the bloodstream will kill our red blood cells. These are the blood cells responsible for taking vital oxygen to every cell in the body.

Lastly, this vital oxygen can damage our cells through oxidation without antioxidants. It is why we need to eat primarily antioxidant-rich foods such as vegetables and dark-skinned fruits every day. Yes, we can supplement antioxidants only as well as the real foods. These real foods nourish your Mitochondria which is why those who mostly consume vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds live longer and look younger.

My recommendations for everyone over the age of 50 or who has had a very unhealthy lifestyle are as follows:

Take CoQ10

CoQ10 fuels the Mitochondria, each cell and every process in the body. Each cell in the body manufactures CoQ10, though not always efficiently. CoQ10 gets depleted with age, pharma intake, poor diet and various other factors.

Coenzyme Q10 is considered your body’s powerhouse enhancer and antioxidant. ATP is a source of energy for most of the human body’s processes and also constitutes the reserve energy in your muscles. Your heart, which is a very busy muscle, needs a constant supply of ATP. ATP cannot be produced without Coenzyme Q10 as it is the enzyme used in the creation of ATP. Coenzyme Q10 plays a crucial task for your body and has the highest concentration in the heart.

A wide range of health conditions can benefit from taking CoQ10. These include gum health, heart health, digestive health, blood sugar health, kidney or renal health, lung health all while supporting and benefiting a weak immune system.

UB8Q10 Ubiquinol – 8x better absorbed Q10

UB8Q10 – is a CoEnzyme Q10 that is up to 8 times better absorbed compared to ordinary CoQ10.

HySorbQ10™ Vegan Caps – 4x better absorbed Q10

HySorbQ10™ Caps – made using an advanced bioavailability water-miscible CoQ10 from the makers of Q-Gel®, that uses pure Hydro-Q-Sorb® CoQ10 – a bio-enhanced Coenzyme CoQ10, for enhanced dissolution and easier absorption.

L-Carnitine Plus CoQ10 Vegan Caps

L-Carnitine Plus CoQ10 – contains CoQ10 and L-Carnitine. L-carnitine delivers fuel into heart cells to be converted to energy. Without sufficiency of both essential components, you will be less likely to burn fat efficiently, and will likely have much less energy. L-Carnitine may help the body to prevent fatty build-ups, especially in the heart and liver. L-Carnitine is used by the body to transport long-chain fatty acids to the mitochondria in the cells (including the heart) where they are oxidized for energy. L-Carnitine deficiencies can manifest as low energy levels and muscular weakness. These deficiencies can also appear as mental confusion, cloudiness and weight gain. L-Carnitine is a popular supplement taken for weight loss and by sports people. ATP is the source of energy for most of the human body’s processes. It cannot be produced without Coenzyme Q10 because the latter is the enzyme that catalyzes its creation. CoQ10 can function as an energy transfer module and support cell growth while fighting free radical damage.

Remember:

Your Mitochondria and oxygen are your best friends and will keep you healthy and youthful all of your life. Don’t poison them with carbs and sugar.
