Dozens of Health Issues Can Be Linked To an Iodine Deficiency.
Women’s Breasts Need Large Amounts of Iodine!

Women will always require higher doses of iodine than men.

Why?… Because breast tissue requires more organic iodine than even the thyroid, (actually this is the reason to still take iodine if you are on drugs for thyroid). It is why fibrocystic (and other critical breast diseases) respond so well to iodine supplementation.

What is Iodine?

Iodine is an integral and essential part of healthy DNA integrity (both developmentally and throughout life), immunity, metabolic balance, endocrine function & cardiovascular health. Along with the breasts and thyroid it is also in all your cells and other body areas such as salivary glands, cerebrospinal fluid, brain & prostate (why it’s still important for men). Healthy levels of Iodine throughout the body are a major protective factor against immune incursions, environmental contaminants and planetary based radiation pollution.

Why do I need supplementation?

There is simply not enough organic iodine in the food chain any more. It is a very tiny amount we need (3.6mg per day) but over-farming and natural depletion has taken this away.

You may have been told to drink cows milk to get a little extra iodine but other studies indicate that milk can cause breast cancer (Google this for more info).

100 Years ago doctors suggested adding 150mcg of an un-natural form of iodine called potassium iodide to be added to processed salt (sodium with all of the other minerals including iodine taken out). This is now known to cause a completely new set of problems without solving organic iodine deficiency.

THE IODINE OPTIONS……

What is Organic Iodine?

The basic element iodine is mineral (highly toxic) in the soil. This is predigested by yeast in healthy soil to convert it to a mineral salt. Plants roots take this up and then convert it to an a non-toxic atomic element also known as a colloidal mineral and its more accurate name organic mineral. All minerals that are found in plants are organic minerals and are 100% non-toxic in any quantity.

What is Atomic Iodine?

Using high voltage electricity it is possible to create atomic iodine (also called Nascent Iodine) where the particle size and electrical charge are as close to that of the organic minerals as is possible.

Can I take Iodine tablets? As I said before most iodine supplements are usually potassium Iodide and a small amount of this may be absorbed but there are other problems.

These problems include that iodine is also fairly easily displaced from your body by chemical toxins called halides: fluoride, bromine and chloride. Fluoride is by far the worst culprit. Deliberately included in some toothpaste and in your water supply, every time you take a shower, brush your teeth or drink from the tap, your body gets a little exposure to fluoride, leeching out good iodine.

There are kelp tablets which contain Organic Iodine but you would need to take 15-20 per day or more to get the 3.6mg you need. 2 – cups of Kelp or Kombu seaweed eaten daily would be needed to get the correct amount.

How do we know we are deficient?

The downward spiral in your health is slight at first, almost unnoticeable. Your thyroid is a good indicator and the first things you notice is your vitality isn’t what it used to be, your get-up-and-go seems to have got up and left. You tire more easily, but you sleep less deeply.

You gain weight. Sometimes you just look at a junk food and it goes straight to your hips!

Chalking it up to a busy lifestyle and poor eating habits, you probably ignore it, possibly for years. But the changes in your body go on and on.

What kind of changes?

There are over 2 dozen major symptoms and signs associated with an under active thyroid. Here are just a few of the more common ones:

  1. Weight gain
  2. Low energy – fatigue
  3. Ice-cold hands or feet
  4. Dry skin
  5. Hair loss (alopecia)
  6. Brain fog
  7. Insomnia, poor sleep
  8. Tingling in hands and feet
  9. Muscle pain
  10. Edema (swelling in ankles)
  11. Elevated cholesterol

All of these are due to an under active thyroid, and definitely not to “clinical depression” as so many of you are led to believe.

Iodine supplementation alone can help most people. Some may notice in just a couple of hours and for others it may take a few weeks.

If you are wondering which Iodine is best for you consider Nascent Iodine
from www.GoodHealthNaturally.com

This is the Iodine that I take and I take a couple of drops 3 times daily, this delivers all the iodine that I need. Without turning this into a chemistry lesson, the reason I take it is because the body can’t distinguish between Nascent Iodine and the iodine naturally made by the thyroid and it is easily absorbed. One bottle lasts for around 2-3 months.
