Health News (Week 22 – 2013)
By Robert Redfern

Time after time I receive emails from readers quoting a famous reply from their doctors after asking them to prescribe the supplements they are getting such good results from, “ If only I had studies, I could”, they often claim.

Let’s look at one of the things they do prescribe……

Statins.

Not only are there NO studies that show any worthwhile benefit (maybe 1 in 100 would benefit slightly); there are many side effects (for the other 99) which include: Muscle Loss, Angina, Memory Loss and Stomach Complaints to mention a few.

Statins Increase Risk of Diabetes

The latest information this week is that they also cause Diabetes! A study, by researchers in Canada, of 1.5million people, suggest that the risk is increased by 22% when on statins. To read an abstract into the diabetes risk, click here

Yes, heart deaths have dropped and yes the drug companies claim it is their statins (they are still adamant that the ‘benefits outweigh the risks”) but there are NO studies that show it and newer studies further show how the potential benefits of early statin studies were well over stated.

Only last week a friend told me her GP husband rages over the statin fraud yet he is blackmailed by the system into prescribing them.

The point is doctors are prescribing dangerous drugs with very little benefit and based upon information given out solely by drug companies.

These have been proven to be fraudulent about these studies.

The major drug companies have been fined $12Billion over the past three years for these frauds and yet they are still allowed to advertise their drugs and have them promoted them via the doctors.

Ok so how can I save my life from heart disease as the stains do not work?

Reduced deaths from Heart Disease

What if I told you that a simple supplement could reduce deaths from heart disease by 25% to 50%?*.

Would you believe me? Would you believe it if it was fact?

This fact goes back for many years and instead of being discredited keeps getting better. The latest study for Co-EnzymeQ10 shows the best results for any drug or substance in the last ten years of study for heart disease.

This isn’t just me telling you that CoQ10 can ‘save lives’, this is hard evidence!

Professor Svend Aage Mortensen (Denmark), responsible for the latest study, announced this week: “CoQ10 is the first medication to improve survival in chronic heart failure since ACE inhibitors and beta blockers more than a decade ago and should be added to standard heart failure therapy”.

How? CoQ10 “corrects a deficiency in the body and blocks the vicious metabolic cycle in chronic heart failure”.

(Study Info The effect of Coenzyme Q10 on morbidity and mortality in Chronic heart failure. Results from the Q-Symbio Study. Authors: S.A. Mortensen, A.Kumar, P. Dolliner et al.)

Just in case you are excitedly waiting for an urgent call from your doctor to put you on CoQ10, I urge you to think again.

Doctors (mostly) do what their drug company ‘masters’ (or the bureaucrats on behalf of the drug companies) tell them and they will do everything they can to discredit CoQ10. There are a reported 26 million people worldwide who suffer from heart failure – think of all the money for the drug companies!

You can still take CoQ10 with statins if you are worried about dropping the statins but won’t be able to get it from your doctor!

CoEnzymeQ10

Generally Coenzyme Q10 is critical for the energy of the cells and to enable regeneration of the cells.

It is the spark of life.

Why?

Energy is created when oxygen and glucose come together and CoQ10 is used as the ‘spark plug’ when this happens.

It was first discovered in 1957 and actually functions in every cell in your body.

Your heart (and organs like your liver and kidney) have the highest CoQ10 concentrations because they have the highest energy requirements. As you age, and when you take medication such as statins, your body’s ability to produce CoQ10 and CoQ10 levels drop dramatically.

If you want to start taking CoQ10 or if you take CoQ10 already, make sure it is Ubiquinol. This is the most absorbable type of CoQ10 and is upto x8 better than ordinary CoQ10 because it is upto x8 more absorbable.

I can personally recommend UB8Q10 and each 50mg capsule is the equivalent of taking 400mg ordinary CoQ10. It is derived from KanekaQ10, the world’s most recognized and researched CoQ10. Shop Here for UB8Q10

I take 4 capsules every day but you can take less/more depending on your condition. Please note that it’s in a gelatin cap, if you need a vegetarian option go for Hysorb. This isn’t as good as UB8Q10 but is still x4 better than ordinary CoQ10 and the best vegetarian option! Shop Here for HySorb
