Curcumin, an active compound found in the Indian spice turmeric has been proven to block cancer cell growth according to UCLA researchers.

A study published in the Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention consisting of 21 participants with head and neck cancers involved taking two chewable tablets, each containing 1000 milligrams of curcumin.

The results of the study showed the enzymes responsible for the spread and growth of cancer and these were repressed in the participants’ mouths due to the curcumin tablets. While another study indicated that cancerous cells were even more likely to die when exposed to curcumin.

Curcumin, found in turmeric is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help in healing numerous chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and dementia. More amazingly, turmeric has an ability to significantly lower DNA mutating ability of cancer-causing substances, even when a teaspoon or less is consumed on a daily basis.

For best results, the turmeric needs to be high-quality and easily dissolved in fat (fat-soluble). Without any fat, the curcumin finds it more difficult to get past the gastro-intestinal system and into the blood where it’s then absorbed for maximum benefits.

To optimize the benefits received from turmeric and curcumin, the spice should be mixed with a healthy fat before being heated.

Curcumin is best taken at the rate of 2-3 capsules, 2-3 times daily for best results. Curcuminx4000™ contains 600mg of Meriva® (root) Curcuma longa extract. For more information about Curcumin click here. CurcuminX4000™ can be purchased here.
