Serrapeptase is known for its amazing health benefits and the thousands of happy people who have improved their conditions are testament to this. As a naturally occurring enzyme, Serrapeptase has the ability to dissolve and then safely eliminate inflammation from within the body.

The benefits of Serrapeptase are far reaching and can improve a wide variety of health conditions; everything from lung health, heart health to supporting the cardiovascular system and even providing relief for joint pain.

As this powerful enzyme is so beneficial for relieving health problems, yet as it is reported on so little, a number of myths have emerged surrounding Serrapeptase. We want to set the record straight by separating the myths from the reality…

Myth 1: Serrapeptase can cause stomach upset

If you already have an existing digestive system imbalance then this could be the real reason behind why you are experiencing some stomach upset from taking serrapeptase. Alternatively it could sometimes be as a result of toxin release. Serrapeptase itself doesn’t directly cause stomach upsets or sickness.

Myth 2: Serrapeptase will interact with medications or nutritional supplements

Serrapeptase is not known to directly impact the effectiveness of medicines or nutritional supplements. It is safe to take with any form of medication or supplements.

Myth 3: Serrapeptase can eat through non-organic tissue

Serrapeptase only works within living organisms to relieve inflammation, dead scar tissue and unwanted proteins by dissolving and then safely eliminating it via the body’s organs such as the kidneys or liver. Implanted materials are not affected such as grafted tissues from human tissue or animals. Living tissue remains untouched.

Myth 4: Serrapeptase is not suitable for vegans

Wrong – it is suitable for vegans. Traditionally derived from the silkworm intestine, it is now manufactured on a fungal base within a laboratory.

Myth 5: Serrapeptase is a ‘blood thinner’

Serrapeptase dissolves non-living tissues such as fibrin, plaque, blood clots, cysts and inflammation in all forms – without harming living tissue. This in turn supports the cardiovascular system and helps the blood to flow more freely, but it does not have a ‘thinning action’.

Myth 6: Serrapeptase will dissolve healthy scar tissue that has formed to heal a wound

Serrapeptase will only go after excess (exogenous) scar tissue. It doesn’t keep eating away at fibrous (endogenous) tissue that is needed by the body to cover up a wound because that would actually reopen the wound. Endogenous means that it is needed fibrous tissue. Exogenous means that the fibrous tissue is not needed and doesn’t belong in your body. Serrapeptase can tell the difference and it only goes after the exogenous fibrous tissue that’s not needed by the body.
